Health care and relaxation

The NSTU polyclinic is a multidisciplinary medical center of the campus. Foreign students can visit polyclinic on a paid basis or according to voluntary health insurance policy.

All foreign students who come to study at NSTU must have a voluntary health insurance policy issued in Russia in any insurance company with accreditation, or issued in the home country. Health care coverage for the voluntary health insurance policy for a foreign citizen that study at NSTU must include:

  • out-patient service;
  • laboratory diagnostics;
  • periodic health examination;
  • in-patient service for emergency cases;
  • emergency medical care;
  • repatriation of the deceased.
The amount of insurance coverage shall not be less than 20000 (twenty thousand) rubles.

Health-improvement services are provided by the sanatorium of NSTU. Students can issue a ticket and undergo treatment aimed at various types of illnesses.

 

NSTU offers to unwind in the nature during the summer season. Summer health-improvement camps of NSTU:

  • "Erlagol" (Altai Republic)

Mountain sports camp and recreational center "Erlagol" is situated in Altai Mountains, on the left bank of the river Chemal. It is a very spectacular place - a valley surrounded by mountains and dense forests.

Campers can take part in hiking, rafting, radial walks and sporting contests. The camp organizes sightseeing: Chemal Hydroelectric Power Station, Patmos Island, grottoes, burial mounds, caves and waterfalls.

  • "Sharap" (Novosibirsk region)
Sports and recreation camp "Sharap" is situated on the shore of Novosibirsk Reservoir. Traditional camp entertainments include volleyball and basketball courts, ping-pong tables, pier as well as equipment for swimming, windsurfing, rowing and catamaran trips.
